Deception TV goes Teesdale in Swiss Alps for 30 seconds of advertising

An iconic North East milestone is "transported" to the Swiss Alps for a television advertising campaign.

Eagle-eyed viewers saw the familiar sight of Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, but in an unusual position, thanks to a series of TV-deception.

Under the slogan "handmade Swiss replica watches of distinction," the ad shows a stylish woman driving on winding roads before pulling in front of a big house - Bowes Museum.

The action then moves inside, where he met his date for the evening.

The 30 seconds of promotional video created by Films Dene, which has a base in Newcastle, for the handmade Swiss watchmakers Dreyfuss & Co

Director Mark Lediard explained that the north of England was converted to the Alps for the announcement.

"We shot the whole ad in a day on the beautiful Bowes Museum and the nearby Pennine hills doubled - with a little help - in the Alps."

He added: "The task was to produce a budget, an ad that looks like a perfume commercial, and illustrates the heritage of Swiss replica watches brand had Dreyfuss.

"The backgrounds were all made from stock photography and all the current positions of the Alps."

Bowes Museum spokeswoman Sheila Dixon added: "Their manager was aware of the museum and I came to get a little 'filming in July.

"They have brought together a sports car and shot some pictures in the museum of the two actors from the balcony."

He said the museum has offered to rent as a location for film and television productions.

"The film Dene were super to work. Were not disturbing and would love to work with them," he said.
